Player Bio

  • Birthday: 4/24/1997
  • Year Turned Pro: 2013
  • Height: 5'5"

Lydia Ko is still a teenager, and yet she’s one of the legends of the game. A winner around the world, Lydia is the youngest player to ever win $1 million on the LPGA Tour, the youngest to ever win a major (at 18), the youngest to win the Race to the CME Globe (which she won in 2014 and 2015), the youngest to ever win the LPGA money title, and the youngest to ever reach #1 in the world (also at 18). She won six times around the world in 2015 and she started off the 2016 season with a victory at the KIA Classic and her second consecutive major win at the ANA Inspiration. Her resume is already amazing, and she’s well on her way to being the greatest player in LPGA history.

Lydia was granted a special request to join the Tour last October, and made her pro debut at the 2013 CME Group Titleholders. The proud New Zealand native had previously won the Mark H. McCormack Medal three years in a row (2011-2013), recognizing her as the top amateur in the world. In April, she was also named one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world. We're going to be talking about Lydia's place in the game for a long, long time.
